Vegusto Vegi-Cat Red Wet Food (2 x 200 grams): The Plant-Based Alternative for Your Cat!

This popular Vegusto cat food is a complementary wet food made from wheat protein in a tasty tomato sauce. It provides your cat with all the necessary nutrients, such as taurine and vitamin A.

  • Popular with cats
  • Contains taurine and vitamin A
  • No artificial colors or preservatives
  • GMO-free and palm oil-free

From the Manufacturer:

In addition to ethical reasons, health concerns can also be a key reason to choose meatless food. Increasingly, sensitive cats are developing kidney diseases due to the high raw protein content in meat-based foods.

Cats have complex nutritional needs, including a remarkable amount of vitamin A. A deficiency can lead to hearing loss, skin and bone issues, digestive problems, and reproductive disorders. Taurine is also essential for maintaining their vision and heart health. Many commercial pet foods enrich their products with synthetic taurine, and some still use taurine derived from animal sources such as shellfish.

James A. Peden from the USA discovered plant-based sources of taurine and arachidonic acid, another vital nutrient for cats. He developed the veterinarian-recommended additives ‘VegecatTM’ and ‘VegekitTM’, which can easily be added to recipes. Vegusto-Cat pet food is also based on these supplements from James A. Peden.

For cats, a dietary change should always be introduced gradually, taking their preferences into account. Keep a close eye on their eating habits to ensure the new food is well accepted.
