“Otis is a Miniature Pinscher mix of over 9 years old. We adopted him when he was 20 months old in February 2013. At that time, he was in a shelter after being rescued with several other dogs by the Animal Protection Society from a bad situation six weeks earlier.

Otis eats vegan primarily because we are vegan ourselves, but also because I truly believe that a diet without animal suffering is better for an animal. I first took the time to thoroughly research vegan feeding for dogs. He now eats Vegdog Green Crunch (always with a carrot sliced into pieces) for breakfast and Senior wet food with extra vegetables and some additional supplements for dinner.

A fun fact about Otis: he only likes soft toys and is very gentle with them. He has a real cuddle posse. His first toy from us (now 8 years ago), Rataplan the rat, he still has and it is his best friend.
