This ball is nice and sturdy and very handy, because the teeth are cleaned while playing! The tough fibers of hemp rope act like a natural toothbrush and therefore plaque is scrubbed away from the teeth during chewing. The more your dog chews it, the cleaner the teeth. In addition, this ball has even more advantages:

• Playing it safe: When hemp fibers break down, it breaks down into very small pieces that do not quickly cause damage if they are swallowed. That makes hemp rope a safer choice. (Still, the advice remains to always supervise your dog when playing with a toy.)
• Sustainable product: Hemp grows in abundance, without the need for pesticides. It grows very dense and high, so that less valuable agricultural land is used and there is room for other crops. Hemp also requires little water and returns 60-70% of its nutrients to the soil.
