Algae oil is the animal-friendly alternative to fish oil, one of the most commonly used supplements for dogs and cats with a positive effect on inflammation, joints, and coat health. Algae are micro-plants that naturally produce Omega-3 fatty acids (ALA, EPA, and DHA). In nature, algae transfer these to fatty fish like herring and sardines when eaten. This gives algae oil the same benefits as fish oil, without harming the environment. Dosage

• Dog: 1 capsule per day (large dogs can take 2 per day)
• Cat: 1 capsule every other day.

Composition Information

The natural antioxidant containing vitamin E protects the sensitive Omega-3 fatty acids. Plant-based tocopherols (including alpha-tocopherol) are forms of vitamin E that act as antioxidants (<1 mg per capsule). Ascorbyl palmitate is a fat-soluble form of vitamin C that also protects the sensitive Omega-3 fatty acids, along with rosemary extract (<1 mg per capsule). Schizochytrium sp. is the name of the algae species. Glycerol is a thickening agent that, along with starch and carrageenan, forms the capsule shell (25% of the total capsule). Sodium carbonate acts as a pH regulator and provides strength to the capsule (<3 mg). The capsule contains no artificial flavors, preservatives, or colorants.
