"Hi. I am Sancho, Sancho Pança Mateus de Oliveiria Woerden to be precise. Yup – same human friends as Robin, hence the many names, I'm six, a foundling, Portuguese and super picky. I'm a cool cat, I have four different white lightning bolts on my black paws and I'm a cuddle bug at times. I am a super social animal and am always waiting at the door when my human friends come to my house and I like to crawl next to them on the couch or preferably on my lap. I live half in Portugal where I have a lovely garden and half in the Netherlands where we have no outside but do have central heating.

I'm obsessed with cardboard boxes. Put one down and I'll be in it within ten seconds. So my one human friend leaves all the boxes in the house and provides them with holes and hatches to sit in and play with. My other human friend would rather see one or two well-designed and beautifully made boxes than this crude collection in every nook and cranny of the house – but I like it that way! And together with my cat friend Kasper we play happily in and on and around the different boxes. Robin often wants to play along, but we don't understand each other well and it often becomes a lot of hassle.

For dry food, I have been eating vegan chunks for years benefit. I love them and they do great! My fur is incredibly soft like velvet and I am in the prime of my life.

As picky as I am, I turn my nose up at vegan wet food and vegan cat treats. My human friend finds this very difficult because there are good alternatives that other animals do not have to suffer for a lifetime and ultimately pay for with a gruesome death. But no, no, no - there is a lot to choose from for dogs, but for us tomcats, the choice is seriously disappointing and whatever my human friend has served me - I'll give my brand to Fikkie - or rather Robin in this case (Robin is my 13 year old dog housemate who I am sometimes very rude to, but when she is sometimes sick or in pain I immediately lie next to her and do not leave her side - yep, big mouth, small heart, that's me...).

My human friend is still hoping for vegan wet food and cat treats that meet my approval. He keeps searching and trying.” - Fred
